Lost season 1 Part 1:
Aug 2005
A crashed airliner, 48 survivors, no sign of rescue, a remote island which holds strange secrets – that's
the ingredients for the smash-hit addictive TV show 'Lost'.
Starting with a bang and then ramping up the tension from there, Lost is the freshest and most inventive TV
show in many years, and it also happens to be possibly the most addictive show ever created. Series 1 covers the first 40
days of the survivors stay on the island, we get to find out who's who and where they came from and you'll soon learn that
no one is who they seem and everyone has secrets. The survivors also have the mysteries of the Island to deal with, what is
the strange giant creature that lives in the jungle? And are our survivor's really alone?
One word of advice, when it comes to Lost, there are no coincidences.
DVD Editor
When the stunning David LaChapelle preview ads for “Lost” aired on channel 4, we had little idea
of what to expect. The pilot episode swiftly changed all that. After those precious two hours of television, we all thought
we knew what was in store: a plane crash, an island, several survivors, a repeating French transition and a bizarre 'monster'
prowling the luscious jungle. However, what initially appeared to be a big-budgeted, fast-paced thriller developed over these
first twelve episodes into something far more exciting. It may have seemed that these early episodes were all exposition,
setting us up for the events of seas two. But, if you go back with the benefit of hindsight and look very closely, you'll
see there was for more to episodes 1-12 than you initially realised.
The word 'essential' is very overused, but this is one occasion when it really is justified: “Lost:
Season One: Part One” truly is an essential addition to your DVD collection, and will open up far more answers than
you'd expect.

Lost Season 1 Part 2:
For more info see the above review:
We all know that “Lost” is a tremendous and ground-breaking show (TV budgets will never be the
same again) but this second half of season one proves that it's also an exceptionally clever one, because it spins our preconceptions
on their heads. This DVD set begins with Boone rescuing his sister Shannon from the monster…only he isn't. The use of
flashbacks, hallucinations and mind games goes through the roof in these thirteen episodes, and we're subjected to a rollercoaster
ride through some seriously tragic events, before we end up staring down that hatch.
Watching “Lost” without the copious advert breaks is like watching a different show: it's well-paced,
well-scripted and wonderfully acted. Pick up the second half of “Lost” season one now.
But as well as all 13 Episodes of Part 2 you will also get...

When "Lost" first aired, viewers were taken aback by the explosive and mysterious action of the pilot episode.
With the luxury of hindsight, we now know that this was nothing compared with what was to come. With season two now well underway,
it's time to pick up the season one discs and pay some serious attention. Even the most avid fan will find something new in
each viewing - from the appearance of the 'smoke' hidden within the first few minutes of the season to the reoccurence of
those numbers in every installment, the amount of layers and hidden clues beggars belief but understanding them could be the
key to figuring out the show's mysteries. Rediscover season one on DVD, and you may find that the answers are staring you
in the face - you just didn't see them the first time!

It was the series the whole country was waiting for. Lost gripped the nation for months while we waited and
waited to see what was in the hatch, and now you can see the whole first half of the second series. Lost Season 2: Part 1
answers a lot of the questions asked in the first series, and then some! Plot twists and turns keep you on the edge of your
seat waiting to see what happens next. In fact, I challenge you to just watch one episode of this... I don't think it's possible!
With this box set, you don't have to wait a week to see the next episode. If you didn't enjoy the first series,
you probably wouldn't enjoy this, but for fans of the series, its a must have. Even if you didn't see the original series,
you can quite easily get into it, thanks to its 'Previously on Lost' sections, at the beginning of each episode. The show
is excellently written, and the characters are brilliant.
Whatever your theory of why they're there, it's a fantastic series that will have you hooked within minutes!

Lost the complete second season...
Sep 2006
It's time to return to that mysterious island somewhere in the South Pacific, a mysterious Island that holds
many secrets and has become home to our crash survivors. Series 1 finished with a tantalizing cliffhanger, the hatch has been
blow open using dynamite, now what lies beneath? You'll find out the answer to that question and more in Series 2, but as
always with Lost, one answer leads to 10 questions.
It's the one we've all been waiting for! Lost has gripped the nation for an exhilarating two seasons - we
waited to find out what was down the hatch. We wondered who, or what, the mysterious "Others'' were. What crime did Kate originally
commit? (You won't be disappointed with that answer) Will Charlie kick his heroine habit? Why did flight 815 really crash?
And possibly the shows greatest mystery, as quoted by Charlie in Season One Episode 2 - "Guys...where are we?" And now, we
need wait no longer. Lost: The COMPLETE Season Two is here!
Seven awesome discs, 24 breathtaking episodes, plus hours and hours' worth of extras, and unseen footage from
the set. This is as good as it gets. I can tell you the following, without revealing too much of the much anticipated story
arc of this series: within 15 minutes of the opening episode, you will know what is down the hatch (found at the end of series
1). By the end of episode 9, you will know what Kate (fugitive from the law) really did. By episode 8, the show will have
introduced several new characters. Episode 10, something huge happens - watch closely. Also, keep a close eye on the flashbacks
of several of the original cast members. And whatever you do, do not miss the thrilling and explosive final two episodes.
I cannot recommend this show enough. If you haven't yet experienced the show, give it a go. For fans of the show, waiting
and waiting for this release to come, don't wait a second longer to get your copy. AWESOME!
